So on Thursday morning we packed up in Stratford and set off on our journey home. We considered doing the drive in one go, but at nearly 8 hours at Bodhi speed (about 56mph on the flat), it was just too long. We had planned a stop at a marina in Garstang in Lancashire, it looks lovely with canals and boats aplenty, but in the end we decided to leave that for a proper stay one day and stopped at a little CL, Pastordale Farm, just of the M6 near Carnforth instead. It wasn't the best, the water tap defied every connector that Tommy has so filling up took ages, and the field was nearly all on a slope, but once we were settled it was peaceful enough. The owners were lovely and it was only £10 for the night. And that was our last night. We were all reluctant to go home. Last year, after more than 5 weeks on the road, we were ready for home but it seems that 3 weeks is a more realistic time for us. The girls miss their toys and friends at home and I miss the washing machine hahaha. I think Tommy would full time if he had the chance though! See our previous adventures on the road.
