This month, Tommy and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. To celebrate, we enjoyed a holiday visiting Coldingham, St Abbs, Eyemouth, Durham, Newcastle and Moffat. Our first stop was Scoutscroft Holiday Park, just up the road from Coldingham Bay. The girls had a ball playing on the beach and in the water (brrrrrrrr!!!) and then we all warmed up in the St Vedas hotel with warm drinks and beer. The following day, we walked along the coastal path to Eyemouth. Fish and chips and a smugglers museum made up for the 10 mile round trip! The next day was our anniversary. We had a beautiful walk into St Abbs, were we explored, ate cullen skink at the harbour and enjoyed the sunshine. I spent many childhood holidays in St Abbs and it's always lovely to return. Before we knew it, it was time to head south to Durham, passing this amazing sight on the way down. We liked Durham a lot - from our lovely pitch at the Durham Amateur Rowing Club CL to the riverside walks, to the winding streets to the magnificent cathedral. It's a wonderful, magical place to visit. Whilst staying at Durham, we took a day trip by train to Newcastle and spent an enjoyable day exploring. After a great few days, we wandered up the road again, stopping for a night at Moffat. There's not much there but we had a lovely walk and the Green Frog is very welcoming (as well as cheap!). Then home again. Another brilliant Regan family holiday. Read more about our trips to the Scottish Borders and North East of England.
