The Easter holidays are always a favourite of ours. Previous years have found us in Northumbria and North Berwick. This year, we grabbed a last minute spot at the St Andrews Holiday Park for 4 nights. The weather was a bit grim back home so we made the most of the sunshine and took a long walk to Craigtoun Country Park. It was a 10 mile round trip which our girls tackled with no grumbles or moans. The next day was more of a beach and history day. On our last visit to St Andrews, we weren't Historic Scotland members so it was nice to be able to finally see the cathedral and castle properly. The castle has a brilliant underground tunnel that the girls loved exploring, even in the dark. St Andrews is a very pretty place and we loved just wandering the streets and browsing the shops. It's perfect for a long weekend away. Make sure you visit the harbour and say hello to the resident heron! Read about other trips we've taken in the Easter holidays.
