Lack of time and a severe lack of open sites means that January has vanished for us without us getting away. Instead, we've been concentrating on getting a bit of maintenance done in Hans. As mentioned in the last post, our heating suffered a failure of some kind during our stay at Loch Lomond Holiday Park. It thankfully was still running happily on gas but we wanted to get to the bottom of the problem, as it's much cheaper using electricity for heating than bottled gas. A combination of Tommy's technical know-how and my previous experience with electrical components meant that we quickly tracked the problem down to a single fuse on the heaters PCB. We soon found the required '10A slow interrupting capacity H fuse' (ceramic) online and soon enough we had Hans toasty and warm again via leccy hookup. Next up is finding the best way to plug a small water ingress issue we have where the solar panel cable enters the van - we first found out about this when we arrived in Crieff in the rain and my clothes were wet! Tommy is researching the best options and I'm sure he'll have it sorted soon. Read more about our motorhome maintenance.
