Hans has had a bit of a sabbatical these last few weeks and months. Tommy's mum has been unwell and sadly passed away in April, leaving a massive hole in our hearts and our lives. We took the early May holiday as a chance to escape and relax a little. Tommy managed to secure a last minute booking for two nights at Keltie Bridge Site outside Callander in the Trossachs, around an hour away from home. It was the perfect opportunity for some family time. Callander is a great place for a weekend away, with a nice selection of shops, cafes and touristy things to see. Keltie Bridge is about a mile out of town, linked by a cycle path that takes you off the main road. The site itself is quite big and was very busy for the weekend - if you ever book in, I'd advise getting one of the serviced pitches near the back, rather than the cramped pitches near the office! It was a bit damp when we arrived, so we simply cosied in for the evening and chilled out. The next morning, the girls were out bright and early on their scooters before we walked along to the town for some lunch. We'd recommend Deli Ecosse! A play in the playpark and an ice cream and all too soon we were on our way back as the weather turned again and it got cold and wet. But we didn't care - we were quite happy inside! See more of our adventures in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
